Driftwood Kennels is located near I-80 just 5 minutes from Downtown. The facility is conveniently located near the Highlands and Fallbrook Neighborhoods. We are proud to be known as a full-service Dog Boarding, Grooming and Training Facility.

As a smaller, family owned kennel, we specialize in personalized service and premium care for all of our clients. We would also like to become your informational resource for pets. Our grooming manager has been grooming all breeds of dogs for over 14 years. Her experience and patience with all dogs, lends itself well to our overall philosophy. Our belief in how your dog should be treated is very simple:  

"Every dog should be treated as an individual, not just one of many!"

We have taken the time to staff our kennel with qualified individuals who are striving to be professionals in their field.  Their commitment to the pet industry is evident in the way they work with our clients and their commitment to their studies and continuing education.

Mike Anderson is the owner and has been training dogs since the early 70's. He has been involved in Bird Dog Field Trials as a competitor & Judge. He has served as a Board Member of the Rock Creek Field Trial Club and been active in Local, Regional and National Field Trials.

Mike has a working knowledge of animals and their behavior. It might interest you to know that one of Mike's clients "Neil" is participating in a study conducted by Creighton University.  He was a joy to train and took to his work well.  It is a well known fact that animals have positive effects on patients in hospitals and nursing homes. Creighton conducted a scientific study, focused on the bond between animals and patients. They have found that in many cases,having a relationship with a dog increases overall wellness. Neil has been a much loved companion in the Quality Living facility and has made a huge impact on many peoples lives and has recently retired to his new forever home here in Lincoln.

Mike is actively involved in the business on a day to day basis and oversees the operation. He has a passion for training and is "great" to work with on obedience issues as well as bird dog training. He enjoys being a resource for questions involving training or anything involving your pets well being. Mike has been a guest lecturer at Union College and this fall will give a lecture at UNL's Companion Animal Program as an expert in this field.

The entire staff at Driftwood Kennels is committed to providing your pet with the best care available. Being away from home and normal routines can be very stressful for dogs, so we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure your pet will have an enjoyable & safe vacation at our facility. Driftwood Kennels is located near the Highlands & FallBrook neighborhoods in northwest Lincoln.

From I-80 take the Hwy 34 west Exit to Fletcher Avenue. Turn right. (Fletcher Avenue turns into 1st street about 100 yards up) Go north on 1st Street about 2 miles.
